 Who We Are

The Churches of Christ are a body of autonomous Christian congregations that have roots dating back to the establishment of the Church in the first century on the day of Pentecost. If you are not a member, here are a few things that will help you understand who we are:

Scriptures

  • Our only rule of faith and practice is the Bible, and our only goal is to be Christ's Church in its purity and simplicity as described in the New Testament.

  • Our worship assemblies are conducted weekly (on Sunday) as set forth in the New Testament.

  • We pattern our worship assemblies after those found in the New Testament, which include: singing, praying, preaching, The Lord's Supper, and an offering.

  • We practice baptism of believers by immersion for the remission of sins and salvation as commanded and exampled in the New Testament.

  • Our congregation is independently organized according to the New Testament pattern. Elders, a group of spiritually mature men oversee and provide guidance for the congregation, while Deacons perform special ministries for the congregation.
